Buyers looking for a subcompact SUV that checks all the right boxes and comes with a lower price tag than the competition should take a good look at the 2022 Hyundai Kona. The automaker updates the Kona this year. It's the model's first major update since it debuted in dealerships like the Philly Hyundai dealer in 2018. Three four-cylinder engines are on offer, including two turbocharged units. The Kona's wide array of standard equipment increases as you move to the upper trim levels.
The Kona gets a facelift that adds a new grille, new wheel designs, updated exterior lighting, and simulated front and rear skid plates. The dashboard gets updated, and the Kona gets new available features, such as heated rear seats, a digital gauge display, and wireless device charging. The standard infotainment touchscreen grows from 7 to 8 inches, and buyers can choose a new optional 10.3-inch touchscreen. According to the Philadelphia Hyundai dealer, two new trim levels join the Kona lineup for 2022: the sporty new N Line and the performance-focused N.
CNET gives the 2022 Hyundai Kona high marks, writing:
"Hyundai R&D boss Albert Biermann says the company's N products should all be "a little crazy," and no model lives up to that brief quite like the new Kona N. It's a rip-snorting compact crossover SUV that looks wacky as hell. And while it certainly isn't perfect, hot damn is it fun. Hit the gas and hold on; you're in for a wild ride."
