The 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback is offered in two trims: base and Sport. The base GT is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 161 horsepower and 150 lb.-ft. of torque, connected to a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. Powering the GT Sport trim is a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder block that puts out a respectable 201 hp and 195 lb.-ft., mated to the six-speed manual or a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard across the board.
