There are many words used to describe the 2017 Hyundai Veloster but "ordinary" isn't one of them. This three-door compact coupe is anything but traditional. With one large door for the driver and two smaller doors on the passenger side, getting in and out of the Veloster is much easier than with any other coupe. And if you're looking for a coupe packed with modern high-tech goodness, take a look at the Veloster when you're shopping for Hyundai vehicles for sale near Philadelphia.
The 2017 Hyundai Veloster is available in four models. The base Veloster comes with a long list of features. The Value Edition has the high-end features you get with the Turbo, but it gets the 1.6-liter engine. The Turbo R Spec is the best choice for driving enthusiasts. Finally, the Turbo has standard luxury amenities including an upgraded gauge cluster and heated leather seats.
The automotive press praised the 2017 Hyundai Veloster, with Kelley Blue Book writing: "If you want a sporty, unique compact car with a surprisingly practical nature at a low price, the 2017 Hyundai Veloster fits the bill. Standard models are efficient at up to 35 mpg, while the Turbo Veloster with its 201-horsepower engine packs a satisfying punch while still earning 33 mpg."

The base Veloster and the Value Edition are motivated by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder block that generates 132 horsepower and 120 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is paired with a standard six-speed manual gearbox in the base trim. The Value Edition gets a six-speed automatic that's available on the base model.
Powering the Turbo and Turbo R Spec models is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 201 hp and 195 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to the six-speed manual gearbox. The Veloster Turbo has an available seven-speed transmission.
The Veloster seats four passengers. The front seats are comfortable and the controls are placed logically and are user-friendly. A 7-inch touchscreen is standard across the board. There's lots of cargo space in the rear, with 15.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats. Fold down the seats and you get nearly twice as much space, for a total of 34.7 cubic feet.

On the outside, you'll immediately notice the 2017 Veloster's unique styling, with a long and low profile, oversized wheel arches and a slanting roof. The driver's side door is the same size as that of a traditional coupe, and there are two smaller doors on the passenger side, with the rear door allowing easier access to the rear. The Turbo models turn heads with larger twin tailpipes, a massive grille and standard fog lights. The Veloster can easily maneuver into tight spots, thanks to its diminutive length of 166 inches.
A complement of standard safety equipment keeps the driver and passengers safe, including stability control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, brake assist, six airbags and a rearview camera. The upper Turbo trim gets available parking sensors.* All vehicle mileage based on 2017 EPA mileage estimates. Use for comparison purposes only. Do not compare to models before 2008.
